Job Purpose
Manages a team of designers and architects and coordinates most, if not all, aspects of projects from the conception stage and design through construction and project completion, working in both the office and field. Organizes and reviews building plans, ensuring projects meet environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetic standards. Monitors project performance and progress and assures the architectural teams meet quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals and that all phases of the construction process comply with building plans and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
Implement client projects through the leadership of project teams; Provide leadership to team by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule.
Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project set-up with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and contractors.
Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and bid projects to multiple general contractors.
Track and manage the financial performance of the project for success (e.g., work plan, schedule, fees, change orders, billings, and collections)
Manage project lifecycle; estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, punch list, turnover, opening, and project close-out
Involvement in business development and leading project proposals
Participates in evaluating and selecting architectural and engineering consultants.
Interacts with engineers, contractors, and construction personnel.
Collaborates with governmental agencies
Tracks the financial aspect of the projects.
Manages the coordination of construction documents by others.
Qualifications
5+ years of related experience managing projects and teams on projects
Ability to communicate in English in written and verbal form with the project team
Professional license or certification preferred
Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for projects
Experience with the full project lifecycle through post-occupancy
Working knowledge of Bluebeam
Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures
Excellent time management and organization skills
Experience with project management software, such as BQE Core and Basecamp a plus
Experience with office software, such as G Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Evernote, and Dropbox a plus
Must be eligible to work in the US.

The work day is between 8-6pm PT M-F.
